One of the main reasons why so many people have stress in the first place is due to a lack of time for themselves. Taking out time for yourself in whatever way or form is the key behind relaxation and stress reduction.

Just a hallo from Denmark from a girl riding both horses and bikes:-) I wouldn´t say that the archery is all gone, last summer we tried doing tilting on bikes, quit fun, trying an old disciplin in a new way:-) But besides from that I must admit that my reason for riding a bike is mainly due to the exercise.

Archery from a moving vehicle or bicycle would be a modern-day equivalent. I wonder if anyone has made that into a sport.

I've tried Calligraphy and it is not as easy as it looks. There's a stroke to follow for every word. And every word have different strokes.

It's also important to remember that sometimes people don't necessarily choose to be in one group or another—they might have years of habits and family background to break out of first. I think people definitely choose to change, but it's also important to take into account that it can sometimes be more difficult said than done.

The art relies on technique. Each stroke goes in a specific order. Some wonder why the order of strokes is so important, some wonder where each stroke starts and some wonder why the printing fonts and handwriting of Kanji look so different. They make sense when you write Kanji using a calligraphy brush.
